August 16, 1930 – March 24, 2010
Robert Martin Culp was an American actor best known for his role in the tv show “I Spy” along with Bill Cospy. Mr. Culp died as a result of a fall in a Los Angeles Park.  He was one of my favorite actors and I remember seeing him in a bunch of roles on tv shows.  He was likeable and will surely be missed in Hollywood. 

December 23, 1971 – March 10, 2010
Corey Haim collapsed in his home on March 9, 2010. He was pronounced dead. Everyone is saying he died of a drug overdose although Haim’s mother stated that the coroner’s preliminary finding was that he died of pulmonary congestion and was suffering from an enlarged heart and water in the lungs.  You know Corey from the movie “The Lost Boys” and the tv reality show “The Two Coreys” which he starred with 80′s tv star and best friend Corey Feldman.  I enjoyed his work and it’s a shame about his death at such a young age.

August 17, 1968 – February 2010
Andrew Koenig was better known as “Boner” on the 1980s’ tv show Growing Pains. He committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in a Canadian park. His father – Walter Koenig – was also an actor who played Chekov on the Star Trek tv show.  I loved watching him on Growing Pains and was very surprised to find out that he was a camera man.  Child stars don’t have it easy when they turn into adults and being a celebrity certainly doesn’t mean you’re happy all of the time.

December 16, 1982 – February 1, 2010
Justin Mentell is an American artist and actor who was killed in a car accident in Iowa County, Wisconsin.   One possibility is that he had fallen asleep at the wheel though his Jeep was not discovered until later in the day by a passing farmer who alerted authorities. He was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.

November 25, 1988 – February 12, 2010
Hours before the Winter Olympics were set to open in Vancouver, Nodar Kumaritashvili, 21, a Georgian luge competitor died after a horrific accident during training on Friday.  He was such an up and coming olympian and everyone was shocked to hear that he had a crash during rehearsals.  You don’t think that these games could be so dangerous but they can and we must appreciate them even more because they are risking their lives.

September 24, 1979 – January 4, 2010
New York Socialite and heiress to the Johnson and Johnson corporation, she was found dead in her friend’s guesthouse while she was left there alone and they went out to socialize. The coroner reported that she died of diabetic ketoacidosis.  Although she was an heiress, she had only about $70,000 in her bank account at the time of her death. 

March 17, 1969 – February 11, 2010
Alexander Mcqueen is a fashion designer that committed suicide. His friends said that he was depressed. His death was attributed to asphyxiation and hanging.  You think being a high profile fashion designer that a person is happy but you never know what is going on in someone’s head.  Obviously he felt dispair and depression that no amount of money, fame or success could help him to overcome. It’s a shame about his early demise.

March 21, 1969 – January 22, 2010
Playmate Jennifer Lyn Jackson was found dead in her home by her husband of a drug overdose. She was Playboy magazine’s Playmate of the Month for April 1989. She was also one of three finalists for the magazine’s 35th Anniversary pictorial. Outtakes from her Playmate pictorial, which was shot by Arny Freytag, appeared in Playboy Special Editions several times following her centerfold appearance

July 1, 1961 – August 31, 1997
Princess Diana was killed in a car accident.  She was being chased by the paparazzi in Paris and the car was going too fast and it crashed while it was in a tunnel.  The paparazzi received alot of bad press after her accident and many celebrities blamed them for her car accident.   The bad thing is that the paparazzi still have not curved their ways of trying to get celebrity pictures to this day. They still hound and chase them down to get that special photo.

 July 2, 1987 – June 28, 2008
Ruslana Korshunova was a Kazakh model of Russian descent. After establishing herself as a rising figure in the fashion industry by posing for magazines like Vogue and designers such as Vera Wang and Nina Ricci, Korshunova’s mysterious death after falling off her Manhattan apartment’s balcony astonished everyone. The fashion world became very confused as to this young woman’s death. Was it a suicide or a murder?  Her death was never really investigated.
